Apple Crumble

Serves: 4
Ingredients:
Crumble:
- 1/3 cup flour
- ¼ cup oats
- 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
- 40g butter
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Apple mix:
- 8 scoops Ensure Vanilla Powder
- 600g tinned apples
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180C. Combine the flour, sugar, butter and oats in a mixing bowl.
- Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour mixture until the mixture is well combined and is crumbly to touch.
- Place apples, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and lemon juice in a pot and cook until apples are soft.
- Add Ensure Vanilla Powder and stir through.
- Spoon the apple onto a baking tray. Scatter the crumble mixture evenly over the apples. Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Allow to rest to cool, but serve warm. Serve with ice cream or cream.
