Apple Crumble

Apple-Crumble

Serves: 4

 

Ingredients:

Crumble:

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 Tablespoon brown sugar
  • 40g butter
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Apple mix:

  • 8 scoops Ensure Vanilla Powder
  • 600g tinned apples
  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180C. Combine the flour, sugar, butter and oats in a mixing bowl.
  2. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the flour mixture until the mixture is well combined and is crumbly to touch.
  3. Place apples, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and lemon juice in a pot and cook until apples are soft.
  4. Add Ensure Vanilla Powder and stir through.
  5. Spoon the apple onto a baking tray. Scatter the crumble mixture evenly over the apples. Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
  6. Allow to rest to cool, but serve warm. Serve with ice cream or cream.
