Vanilla Custard

Serves: Makes 400mL



  • 5 scoops Ensure Vanilla Powder
  • 1 cup full cream milk
  • 120mL thickened cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour
  • 5 tablespoons caster sugar



  1. Place milk and cream into a saucepan and heat until hot (be careful not to boil).
  2. Whisk together sugar, corn flour, egg yolks and Ensure Vanilla Powder.
  3. Pour on hot milk and whisk well to combine.
  4. Add vanilla essence to mixture and return to gentle heat for 1-2 minutes without boiling.
  5. Serve hot or cold.
